I linked onto your website via a story that ran in today's Wonkette and am impressed. Keep up the good work, spreading the hate for AC.

Hate is a strong word. I only hate her when she tries to act like a genuine human. When she stands still, reads from the teleprompter without emoting, or sips from her coffee cup, I'm cool wit' her. Otherwise, it's like a mis-programmed Fem-bot running amok and making guests and viewers exceedingly uncomfortable...

i'm not an ann curry fan either. i find it depressing to watch her. and i kind of wonder if she may, in fact, be depressed. she is always so cheerless and down at the mouth.

"mis-programmed fem-bot" nice.

Does anyone remember the trainwreck earlier this summer when she was surprising needy families with new stuff for their homes? The "Extreme Curry Makeover"? The poor kids were terrified of Alien Curry.

Thanks to Wonkette, I've found your wonderful site. I know so many people who LOVE AC and they shoot me down every time I make disparaging comments about my distaste for her. My favorite comments from fans revolve around her "great sense of style." Give me a break. It looks like she just rolled over of bed, put on a cardigan and pearls and pulled up the news desk. I would like for you to track/do running commentary on her hideous wardrobe in future blog entries. It's great to know that I am NOT alone.

I don't care for Ann Curry either, but I am irritated by ALL of the Today Show personalities. I find Matt Lauer bland, Katie Couric too perky at 7 a.m. (also too concerned about her colon) and as for Al Roker -- I wish he would just shut up. I have been watching Today since 1952 and I find all of the personalities to be the worst ever!

Boy, am I glad you started this IHAC blog. Someone had to do it. And, yes, hate is a strong word, and I employ it against AC only with regard to her really puzzling onscreen persona: cloying, saccharine, hopelessly sincere but deeply inauthentic, clueless with Al and Matt or any encounters with repartee.

Can't say I'm much fonder of Katie's diva shtick either. But KC is, with ML's brutal assistance, ratcheting back a bit. What a relief.

I must confess, I think AC's kinda hot . . . (Plainly, my wife is aware of this fact since she has repeatedly remarked that the only time that I have ever remotely taken notice of the Today Show over the last three or four years is when Ann is on the air. Oh well, "busted," as they say.)

I should note, BTW -- and I do not mean to be an AC apologist -- that AC's background, i.e., humble Oregon roots, makes it particularly difficult for me to dislike her.

Ran across your site from Wonkette.

I'll admit to being blissfully ignorant of morning network shows, so I'll take your word for Ann Curry's horribleness (though aren't they all distasteful?)

but she *is* pretty hot!

When Ann doesn't look liked she just rolled out of bed, which is not very often, then maybe, maybe she is slightly pretty. But I don't see any reason to label her as "hot." She's far from it in my opinion. She's not ugly but she's not hot either.

...Ms Curry constantly expresses phony 'drama' and intenseness by the exaggerated body-language of sharply "'leaning-in" toward whoever she's interviewing. gets really comical when she's talking from the studio-set to somebody distant via a remote TV hook-up --- she actually "leans-in" to her studio TV monitor, as if the person she's speaking to ... is actually in the studio.

Omigod! Ann Curry has been the bane of my morning existence for years. How I loathe her. Her constant fumbles and flubs are bad enough, but when she does an interview or newstory dealing with something tragic, she puts on this fakey insincere "sad face" that truly sends me over the edge. Also yucky are entertainment "reporter" Jill Rappaport (god, that hair!), and that wretched Barbara Walters wannabe whose name I have blessedly purged from my brain. But, of course, Ann is the absolute worst. She just seems so unbelievably stupid. Next to Ann Curry, Paris Hilton is Katherine Hepburn.

I once announced to my family that IHAC and got a blank stare. This blog feels like home! Now I know I'm not alone in cringing when she wears her serious/sad expression...not only during an interview, but when she reads a sad news story. Then she drops her voice down about an octave. ugh. How did she get as far as she has?

While she can be annoying and show false sympathy during a sad news story...she IS a hottie.
I'd BANG her incessantly if I had the opportunity ; )

I find it ironic that you seem to post about how unproffessional and horrible Ann Curry is but seem to have no problem with the Ultimate Bitch known as Katie Couric.

I'll admit that Ann Curry is horrible on the Today Show. She interrupts way too often, stumbles and just seems out of focus.
That said I would take Ann Curry ANY day over Katie, and the increasingly irrating duo of pussy Matt Lauer and Al Roker.

Katie Couric is far worse than Ann Curry. The worst part is how she thinks that she's a hip, trendy, and attractive. She is none of these and I cringe every time she show off her grotesque legs when she wears her ultra-short skirts.

finally someone with the guts to admit katie is less than perfect.
talk about ego - sad and awkward. perky she may have been; now an aging glee club diva who thinks she is all that - and isn't.

ac doesn't bother me; delighted glick is gone.

impressed with campbell. would like to see more of her and lester.

is everyone here under the concensus that Campbell is genuine, refreshing, real, humble, and has an internal beauty that makes her externally gorgeous....
maybe it's just me but I'd say she's gonna be the next Jane Pauley, and then some.
Katie's spoiled and does anyone else have a problem with the way she attacks anyone who's a Democrat on the show? She nor Ann can be objective about anything.
It's time for a new team. But not Matt and Campbell. That would be tricky b/c he never fails to hide how hot he is for her. But not Matt & Natalie either, because she's too stiff. I'd like to see Campbell and Brian Williams. That would be the dream team.

It is obvious that the posters to this blog have problems with smart strong women. As a fan of Ann I suggest that take another look from the perspective of who is going to tell you the truth....

if "strong and smart" describes the way Ann Curry ("curry favor" is more like it) kissed up to Katie this morning after Katie announced her departure and then said "and now we'll go to the news desk" and Ann responded obsequiously, "Oh, I like the way you say that, Katie, I'm gonna miss that."
give me a break-Ann is seething and so glad Katie's getting ready to be gone. It's incredibly obvious. I wonder if Ann will retire too once beautifully gorgeous awesome Campbell Brown takes over the position, thank gosh.

I'll have to turn off the TV over the next two months- with all those hour long segments that will be "roasting" Katie and make her even more egotistical than she already is I'm gonna throw up.

Dear Ann Curry-

So you're not perfect, but neither is anyone writing any of these posts on this blog. All in all, Ann, you are quite wonderful, in my opinion. You are smart, talented, amazingly compassionate and beautiful. You do a great job on the Today show. I'm going to be blatantly honest though. Your flaw is that you seem to just sometimes take things a little too seriously. You try to be a competitive cat and that's just not you. You don't have to be so tough. I'm not talking about reporting the news, you do great at that, I'm talking about your rapport, etc. and the obvious tension and resentment you feel about not being anchor yet. Or maybe there is some private turmoil you are experiencing or maybe you suffer from manic depression, and that's OK. I'm not saying that in a derogatory way. Just try to treat it if you can. Get some therapy or talk to someone or something. There's nothing wrong with that. Everybody has problems.Maybe Meredith Vieira will be better for you to work with since she seems a lot less diva-like and attention-addicted than Katie.

But what I'm saying is you don't have to try be so cheerleader. Stop thinking with your ego. It's apparent to viewers whether you know it or not. You don't have to be young and foxy and hip like Katie tries to be or like Campbell and Natalie. That's just not you and that's OK. You're still beautiful and intriguing in your own unique way so who cares. Don't try to compete with them. Right now it looks like you are competitive. It's like you either look really mad and pissed off or you look like you're about to jump out of your skin from smiling so much. It just comes across fake, that's why someone started this stupid blog. It's not the end of the world.

Another thing that i'm going to be honest and tell you about is that sometimes it appears that you feel that you are above reading the news and you look like you are just dying to be in the anchor chair. Your attitude just comes across as a little disingenuous. You don't say good morning in a very cheerful way to Matt & Katie. Step outside of yourself for a minute and suck it up. Put on a happy (not fake) face and be grateful to be alive. Get over what's going on in your little bubble, or maybe it's the news that's depressing you? Whatever it is you're putting everybody in an irritable mood. Be content where you are or find a place where you can be. You don't need to try so hard. You are wonderful just the way you are. It doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks about you on this blog, karma will get them. Just keep on keepin' on. I sincerely wish however that you would leave the Today show and find work that seems to suit your soul more. You really do well on interviews and assignments. I wish that you could find an outlet to do that more. Screw what everyone else thinks! You should venture out into new territory where YOU can be the star. I really think you are great Ann. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings, just wanted to tell you all this for your own good.
Best wishes to you Ann, and remember to say the hell with what they say on this blog. You rock!

Ugh! I really cringe when Anne Curry tries to act like a normal human being. Today she patted her co-host on the back as though it was his problem because she just disgusted him, because of a bad, played joke. She is just such a dork as well as socially clueless. She isn't right for the position and obviously makes other anchors uncomfortable with her wacky commentary and uncomfortable dead air jokes. Ewh.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who can't stand watching AC. She is HORRIBLE! She has bad posture and leans in like she is going hurl, she interrupts everyone, and touches people way too much. Her interviews are so painful that I can't even watch them. It's a shame because I'm sure she's a nice person, but she seems like she's trying way too hard on the air. And how many times can she say something inappropriate to the people she's interviewing?...So inappropriate that it makes everyone stop with their mouths wide open saying, "What the hell did she just ask?" Sorry AC, but you need to find a new job.

Ann Curry is terrible! She can't even conduct a basic interview without stumbling and looking foolish. IMO, she is far from being "hot." Campbell Brown is also far from being hot. She is too skinny, has no chest, and she's got a messed up nose. Her voice turns me off. Katie was very annoying, glad she is gone!

I also find AC annoying. She tries too hard to please everyone. She blows kisses and is overly emotional. It is not a popularity contest. Establish your own points of view and stick to them! You would gain more respect that way.

As someone wrote, I am not big on other Today Show's broadcasters, either. I find many of them arrogant when they deal with guests whose first language is not English. Instead of using an interpreter, Lawer and Roker laughed at Japanese and Chinese guests' English without trying to potray them as experts in their own fields. Shame on them.

Thank you so much for this site. I too though I was alone in my distaste for Ann on the Today Show. Glad to see that others feel the same. BTW, I concur with most posts that say their dislike of her is solely professional. See seems like a wonderful and kind human being and I don’t wish her any ill will; it's her on-air Today show presence that drives me CRAZY. I find myself watching just so I can be upset by her gaffes and crazy behavior. She's why many of those Styrofoam TV bricks get sold, so you can throw one (or many in her case) at the screen every time she screws up, or says “good morning” or goes "over-the-top" in some interview or banter session. I thought for sure she'd be fired for touching Brad Pitt's face, btw. Not cool.

What drives me especially crazy is when she's at the anchor desk next to Matt, over-dramatizing a piece of copy, while not looking at the camera, but instead looking at Matt, spewing her theatrics at him. It must drive Matt nuts to have those histrionics going on right next to him, right in his ear. I wonder sometimes how he’s managed to not just bust out laughing when she does it. I’d bet good money that he’s been close to losing it.

I've been a Today watcher for quite some time, and am finally getting ready to make a switch to some other morning show, maybe CBS. Harry Smith seems pretty sharp and likeable. The one thing that I still really like about Today though is Natalie Morales - intelligent and sharp, down-to-earth, not overdone, beautiful...she's the whole enchilada. Fire Ann or remand her to Dateline only, send Meredith packing to focus on Millionaire, and let Natalie take over the big seat next to Matt. Amy can take over the news desk, Matt and Al do their thing, and all will be well.

Loved the "fem-bot" reference. Dead on.

I found my people!!! I honestly cannot understand how anyone could like AC on the Today Show.
She fumbles and bumbles through every sentence she tries to speak, her tongue more twisted than Twisted Tea.
Her fake sincerity and her attempts to draw tears from every guest with a sad story is truly nauseating.
Her interviews are extremely uncomfortable to watch, as is her banter with her co-hosts. I am quite sure that Matt and Al hate working with her!! You can almost feel it in Al's comments and reactions to her and I'm sure he has to work hard to hold most of it back.
I can't imagine that guests wouldn't cringe when they find out that Ann will be the one to interview them.
Her touchy-feely, I'm-your-best-friend words and actions with her guests and co-hosts is sickening.
I literally scream "shut up Ann" at my t.v., and sometimes will turn the station until her interview is over. But sadly, I find the other morning news programs so sleepy, otherwise I would switch for good just because of Ann.
Why oh why has this woman been employed for so long and paid handsomely to ef up her job every single day?!!!

Thank you for letting me know that I am not alone! I'm pissed because I have been watching the Today show for 30 years and I do not want to leave them, but like a bad marriage, I just can't take AC one more day. It's obvious that the harder she tries, the worse it gets! If she says "Thank you SOOOOOO much" to one more guest I'll lose it!

Somebody somewhere is doing jello shots every time AC says "morning", and is plastered by 7:15. She is the worst interviewer ever - she spouts all the relevant information, leaving the interviewee with nothing to say. Falsely sympathetic and empathetic, can't put a coherent sentence together -- why was she chosen?!

Ann Curry is one of the most beau-
tiful people anyone could ever meet
she is professional in what she does there are jealous people out
here in this world that don't know
kindness, caring, loving and beaut-ful people when they see them please don't let whoever is trying
to sabotage this beautiful Lady,
have the pleasure to do so. To hate
someone is mentally cruel and mind-
less, jealousy is dangerous.I truly beleive she cares about people she comes in contact with
and her job as an anchor person.
Also she is one of the reason I
watch the today show with mack,al,
and the rest of the beautiful anchor people they all are family
and should not be separateed for
this kind of nonesense. my prayers
go out to all involved.
